TOWN MAYOR THANKS RUFUS VACCINE HUB VOLUNTEERS

Town Mayor, Cllr Jeremy Dann, was able to thank some of the volunteers working at The Rufus Vaccine Hub when he visited The Rufus Centre to have his first Covid-19 vaccination last week.

A team of volunteers and staff are working together at the Rufus Vaccine Hub to provide a friendly and efficient service to everyone attending for their vaccinations.  Cllr Dann spoke to some of the volunteers working outside in all weathers, welcoming people and marshalling them through the whole process.

The Rufus Vaccine Hub, a pharmacy led collaborative project with Hilton, and H is for Health Primary Care Networks, opened at the beginning of the year.  A lot of work and planning had to go on behind the scenes before the Rufus Vaccine Hub was ready to welcome the first person for their vaccination on 21st January.

Organisers of the Rufus Vaccine Hub, Alex Hill, C&H Barton Pharmacy and Nishil Shah, Cheeseman Pharmacy, Ampthill (pictured below L to R) are working together with a fantastic team of staff, healthcare professionals and volunteers to run the vaccination programme based in Flitwick.
