Regrettably, due to the high winds, we have no choice but to cancel the Christmas Lights Switch On this afternoon.
This event takes months of planning and it is not a decision we have taken lightly, but the safety of everyone is paramount.
Unfortunately, we cannot postpone the event due to the prior commitments of so many involved.
The lights will be switched on remotely, so the town will still be shining bright tonight. 
Come and join us for the Christmas Lights Switch-On at Flitwick Town Square. The fun starts at 3pm – stalls, funfair, mulled wine & mince pies, Santa, Naughty Elf and the Grinch!
Lights will be switched on at 5pm followed by carols around the Christmas Tree with Ampthill Town Band.
