YOUTH PROVISION IN FLITWICK
Flitwick Town Council has been providing youth services in Flitwick for over 10 years. Delivering a youth service is not a statutory obligation for the Town Council, however Councillors and officers are committed to continue to provide youth services in Flitwick as it is a service that we value.
Regrettably there have been a number of issues of concern raised with 4YP, the Council’s current provider, and the Council feel these issues are not being addressed to a satisfactory conclusion for all. The Town Council has, therefore, decided not to renew the contract with 4YP which ended in July.
The Town Council will be going out to tender for the Youth Provision in September and is looking forward to developing new services at The Hub to support young people in Flitwick. We hope to have the new provider in place by 1st April 2023.
In the meantime, Flitwick Town Council will be liaising with other Youth Providers to deliver a Youth Service in Flitwick from September 2022.
