Lunch Club Launch Home Delivery Service
Members of Flitwick Town Council’s Over 60s Lunch Club enjoyed a special lunch on Friday 26th June, delivered to their homes by Town Mayor, Cllr Jeremy Dann, Deputy Town Mayor, Cllr Andy Snape and Cllr Russ Shaw.
Homemade quiche, salad and new potatoes plus cheesecake were all on the menu prepared by the catering team at The Rufus Centre.
Normally the Lunch Club meet once a month at The Rufus Centre but with restrictions in place due to Covid-19, the club had to be cancelled until further notice.
This was the first trial run to just 20 attendees of the Lunch Club. The Community Services Team will be in contact with attendees who were not included in this trial run to see if they would like to have lunch delivered next time.
Hopefully this will be the first of many home deliveries over the next few months to our Lunch Club members and we hope that everyone enjoys the new service until we can get-together once more at the monthly meetings.
