The Community Development Team delivers events and projects within the community in response to consultation with local residents. 

The  work carried out is part of The Community Focus Strategic Plan which addresses  some of the following recognised target groups:

•    Crime & Anti-Social Behaviour

Work with young people including providing a youth club, and diversionary activities for young people.  Community Safety projects – Jingle Bells, mobile phone and bike marking.

•    Minimising Social Exclusion & Isolation

Films @ Flitwick, Armchair Exercise, Bingo, Flitwick & District Good Neighbour Scheme.

•    Facilitating Cohesive Family Living

Regular live entertainment in school holiday.  , Easter Egg Hunt and Teddy Bears Picnic.

•    Promoting Healthy Living

Various Courses including  Over 50’s Keep Fit and  Armchair Exercise.
